October Meeting

The next meeting of the camera club will be October 8th.

Capture an Idea is Something Old and Something New. (Image - Dexys Midnight Runners) Please bring to the meeting as a photo.

Homework is  three photos taken at the same aperture. I suggest you choose a variety of different subjects to get the most out of this exercise.

2014 Photographic Competition REMINDER; Last Chance to Enter

ENTRIES CLOSE THIS FRIDAY 10TH AT 4PM

Yea Camera Club will again hold its annual photographic competition on Melbourne Cup Weekend 1st to 4th November 2014 at Beaufort Manor 111 High Street YEA.


Entries are now open and forms can be downloaded from here. Forms also available from Yea.Com, by email request from yeacamera@gmail.com, Bendigo Bank Yea, Library, Yea Information Centre, Y Water Centre, Marmalades Cafe and Gallery 34.

ENTRIES CLOSE : 4pm. Friday Oct. 10th. 2014. No late entries accepted.

Grand opening Night 2013

Exhibition Grand Opening will be at Beaufort Manor 7:30pm Friday 31st October. Tickets available from Ann Anstey Phone: (03) 5797 3121, by email to yeacamera@gmail.com, or add it to your competition entry form.   $10 per person or $20 family.

The exhibition will be open for public viewing from 10am to 4pm Saturday Sunday and Monday 1st/2nd/3rd November and Tuesday 4th from 10am till 3pm.

Entries can be collected from Beaufort Manor from 4pm to 5:30pm Tuesday 4th.

Entries displayed in main ballroom

There are monitory prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of each category, Best in Show and a Peoples Choice award.

Mount your best photos now and enter one of the larger regional photographic competitions in Victoria. There are categories for experienced, novice and youth photographers so give it a go. You might just win.
Mount Mats can be cut and supplied in Yea by tysyndesigns.com. 

2013 Opening night

YEA is great place to visit with a wide range of accommodation here available from budget to exclusive. The new Y Water Centre at the eastern end of town opens in August and provides information about, and entry to, the wetlands area. Try a bike ride or a walk on rail trail or just take in the beautiful country vistas and of course photo opportunities.

The committee is conducting a membership drive. As part of that we want to display a collage of photos in the bank window.

Will all members please provide 2 only 5x7 print photographs and deliver to John C or Kerry at the bank.

Also we wish to have a presence on the VAPS website.

Will all members please provide to John C 1 digital image for display on the VAPS website and the camera club blog. Please make your images approx. 1 MB

September Meeting

Welcome to Spring.

The next meeting of the camera club will be next Wednesday the 10th September, in the RSL at 7.00pm

This months meeting will be a semi practical session – Alan Cole will present on how not to stress your lens and take better pictures. Bring your camera and lenses.
