FEBRUARY 2013 OUTING TO AMELIA RISE DONKEYS

Six club members attended the February outing to Amelia Rise Donkeys, www.ameliarisedonkeys.com, and experienced and very pleasant couple of hours with these delightful animals. There were many great “portrait” opportunities available; a small selection is shown below.
Look at me!

These donkeys were extremely well socialised and enjoyed our copious touching, caressing stroking and generally getting a big fix of relaxation. We all agreed that these unassuming little animals could have such a calming influence. WE WILL BE BACK!

List here mate!

February 2913 Meeting

WEDNESDAY 13th FEB - THIS WEDNESDAY!!
7.00PM IN THE R.S.L. HALL

AGENDA
1. New rules for "Capture an Idea."
2. Programme of events for 2013
3. 1st. visit for 2013 - Amelia Rise Donkeys Sunday Feb.17th.
4. Art show wrap.
5. VAPS Convention.
6. Junior Camera Club
The camera club received a grant to run a junior camera club course for 1 year. It was a substantial grant with which we purchased cameras, printers, photographic paper and lighting equipment. Most of this has remained in the cupboard since the cessation on the course. While we have some ideas, we would appreciate your thoughts how we might further stimulate interest in junior photgraphy and extract better value out of our grant.
After all this we plan to go outside for a practical shoot in low light -bring your cameras and tripods and flashes.
Something for everyone
DON'T MISS IT!!!

Reminder - Mounting Training

REMINDER

Mounting of Photographs

For display and competition purposes, your photographs need to be mounted on Matt Board.

You can purchase mounts already cut to size from various outlets including in Yea, but it can be expensive. The alternative is to cut your own ,and several members have expressed a desire to do so but need a refresher course (at least ) in cutting.

There will be a workshop in The R.S.L
Saturday January 5th.2013 @ 9.00am

The club has the cutter and tools, but you must bring your own board.

Board can be purchased in full sheets or half sheets. A full sheet makes 6  frames A4

Board can be purchased from FrameCo in Nunawading (club discount?) or Cnr. Of Canterbury and Dorset Roads.

This is an ideal opportunity to prepare mounts for the Rotary Display.

Come on - Have a go!!!!
See you all there.
