National Photography Competition - Now Open for Entries

To the Club Secretary,
We are running a nationwide photography competition to celebrate the Year of Soils, and we would love for your club members to get involved!
The National Centre for Farmer Health is committed to making a difference to farmer's lives by engaging and educating agricultural communities, rural professionals, and academia on how to live a positive, healthy and safe farming lifestyle.
Our photography competition this year follows a successful competition in 2012, which saw the images included in a coffee table book and included in a travelling exhibition. This years competition is being run in conjunction with International Year of Soils, with the theme of 'Stewards of the Soil'. We are looking for a personal interpretation of this theme, whether its a portrait of the farmer working the field; a landscape of produce being grown in rich soil; documenting efforts being made to regenerate and protect degraded areas; or even the everyday existence of soil in an agricultural or permaculture setting.
Cash prizes are on offer for the winner and runner-up in three categories – Open Category, Secondary Students, Primary Students – as well as the winner of the People's Choice Award. The finalists will be exhibited at The Cube in Federation Square, and the winners announced, as part of the proceedings of World Soil Day celebrations, on Saturday 5th December.
Entries close Sunday 25th October 2015. I know that's quite soon, so we would really appreciate if you could distribute this notice to your members and networks, to help spread the word and give everyone an opportunity to enter the competition. It might be a good project for your next meeting, photo walk or even just for this coming long weekend!
Please find our flyer attached. To enter, and to read the T&C's, please visit our website: http://bit.ly/StewardsOfTheSoil
We look forward to your entries!
Warmly,
Erinna Ford
