May Meeting

Hi all
The next meeting of the Yea Camera Club will be held on Wednesday 13th May in the Yea RSL at 7.00pm

The topic for the night is NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY, and through the efforts of our hard working President we have a guest presenter.

Luke Donegan is a local young man from Strath Creek studying photography at RMIT. Luke will show us some of his night images taken under the clear skies of Strath Creek and discuss how he constructed them. He will also share with us his award winning photos and talk about the techniques he used and how they were created. Lukes work has been recognised for its excellence and is currently on display at the Museum of Victoria with other TOP ARTS until July this year.

The plan for Wednesday will be to do our capture and idea from 7 - 7.15pm. Then cover other club business briefly until 7.30. Luke will talk for an hour 7.30 - 8.30. we will then have a break and do the rest of our club business after that - ie look at homework.

Calling all happy snappers.... on April 28th the VTIC Roadshow will be hitting the road and spending a couple of hours meeting in the Y Water Discovery Centre. The chap who is organising it would like some photos of Yea to put onto a flier inviting tourist groups/operators from other areas to visit Yea for this meeting.

I have told him that we have some great photographers here in Yea and that I will ask you all for just ONE shot each of the photo that you think best showcases our wonderful town. It is then up to him to select which photo(s) he will use.

If you would like to be a part of this please email me back your ONE SHOT photo and your permission for it to be used electronically for the above purpose. If at all possible I would like these to arrive in my email box before Good Friday please, so I can then forward them on.

Hoping that you can help me out with this request.

Many thanks,
Pauline

I know that we are all busy getting ready for Easter and the break, but may I remind you that the next meeting is Wednesday the 8th, next Wednesday.

The consequence is that your homework is due to be submitted to Alan Cole by Easter Sunday night,
Remember homework is/are a photo of your own constructed light box or a photo taken in it or a photo taken in a light box at last meeting.

Your Capture an Idea photo is ELECTRIC and needs to be brought on the night, or before to a committee member.
